Betty "Cissy" Lorene Peters

Runaway Bay~ Betty Lorene “Cissy” Peters, 74, went to be with HER Lord on Sunday, April 25, 2021.

Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1st, 2021 at The Bay Church in Runaway Bay, Texas. Pastor Ollin Collins will officiate.

Cissy was born on October 28, 1946 to Homer Augustine and Betty Ruth (Graves) Mills in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was united in marriage to Neil William Peters on April 22, 1981 in Ft. Worth. Cissy was the secretary at The Bay Church in Runaway Bay where she and Neil were longtime members. She was active in the LGA Social Club and The Greater Runaway Bay Alliance Committee. She loved living and working in the Runaway Bay community.

Cissy cherished her family time, and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren each and every chance she could. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Jim and Jerry Mills; her two grandchildren, Jeremiah Peters and Christopher Smith.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Neil Peters of Runaway Bay; her children, Jack and wife Sharon Peters of Bridgeport, Lorri Wood of Minnesota, Carrie and husband Deric Dudley of Azle, Danny Brown of Bridgeport, Heather and husband Maclain Jobe of Bridgeport, Stephen Simpson of Amarillo and Suzzette Peters of Bridgeport; her grandchildren, Brandi and Juan Garza, Johnny and Amanda Greenwood, Cody and Michel, William, Schuyler, Kelsee, Jonathan, Tara, Jacobb, Jaye Peters, Leah, Jordyn and Alex Winter, Trinity and Christian Armstrong, Jaelyn Jobe, Ashlie and Tyler Peters, Elisha, Kaleigh, Jeremy, Bobby, Moria, Amanda and Joshua, her pet dog Trio; and many more great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members and a host of VERY GOOD FRIENDS.
