Brenda (Schooling) Fennell

July 30, 1964 — August 9, 2015

Alvord ~ Brenda Fennell, 51, a secretary, went to be with our Lord Sunday, August 9, 2015 in Alvord.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Alvord with burial in Jonestown Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Dr.  Kevin Moore will officiate. Pallbearers include Jay Higgs, Jack Rutledge, Bill Fennel, Biff Hays, Gary Brown, and Andrew Gogniat. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. W.M. Lewis, Jerry Mara, Jerry Gibson, Larry Short, Gene King, Bill Adams, Garland Lipsey, and Dr. Thomas Long.

Brenda was born on July 30, 1964 to Bill and Margaret (McDonald) Schooling in Grapevine, Texas. She was united in marriage to Carl Fennell on September 24, 1988 in Alvord, Texas.  Brenda was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist church of Alvord.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Ann Schooling; her brothers, Gary Ray Schooling, and Gary Edmond Schooling; her father-in-law, John Fennell Jr.; her brother-in-law, John Henry Fennell;  her father figure, VM Claborn.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 26 years, Carl Fennel of Alvord; her son, Jonathan Fred Fennell and wife Stacey; her daughter, Jennifer Gonzales and husband Juan; her father, Bill Schooling of Decatur; her grandchildren, Cason Wyatt Fennell, Andrew Chase Gonzales, and Matthew James Gonzales; her sisters, Marsha Roblez of North Richland Hills, Paula Talley of Denison, Julie Schooling of Decatur, Nancy Humphrey, Becky Morgan, Trudy Claborn, Judy Delay, and Bettina Cooper Martin; her brothers, Frankie Claborn, and Tommy Claborn; 12 great nieces; 12 great great nieces; 2 nephews; 13 great nephews; and a host of friends.
