Denzil Basinger

Paradise ~ Denzil Basinger, 68, a retired printer, went to be with our Lord, Thursday, March 28, 2019.

Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2019 in Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur. Family will receive friends 6-7:00 p.m. Monday, at Hawkins Funeral Home Bridgeport.

Denzil was born October 21, 1950 to Henry and Nola (Taylor) Basinger in Melrose Park, Illinois. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his father, Henry Denzil Basinger; his brother, Dale Basinger and wife Brenda of Florida; his sisters, Janet Hoffer of Peoria, Illinois, Sandy Chenault of Gastonia, Illinois, Ruth Sumner of Cincinnati, Ohio, Carol Basinger of Wytheville, Virginia, Beverly Griffin and husband Duane of McLeansville, North Carolina, and Linda Dicker and husband Brent of Bedford, Virginia; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
