Decatur ~ Elizabeth Joan Glaser, 89, of Decatur went to be with her Lord Saturday, June 3, 2017 in Decatur, Texas.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2017 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday with a 6:30 p.m. Rosary at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Joan was born September 24, 1927 to Francis and Martha (Illa) Geng in St. Paul, Minnesota. She married William Hugo Glaser on February 20, 1946 in St. Paul, Minnesota. They were married 59 years till his passing in 2005. She lived in White Bear Lake, Minnesota for over 50 years till moving to Decatur, Texas in 2014.
Left behind to cherish her memory are 2 daughters, Joan Berger and husband Ken of Boulder City, Nevada and Judy Flusche of Decatur; 3 grandchildren, Renee Fandrich and husband Michael, Miles Maliska and wife Pamela, and Jennifer Ritchie and husband Ben; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Madonna McCollum; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Angela Maliska, 3 brothers, and a sister.
