Helen was born on December 10, 1943 to Willie E “Pete” and Kate (Warren) Caraway of Bridgeport, Texas. She grew up near Lake Bridgeport along with 4 siblings. She graduated from Bridgeport High School with the Class of 1962. She met Dennis Dainack and the two were married on September 4, 1964. They had 2 boys who were born in Monticello, New York. Helen moved back to Texas in 1975 where she raised her sons and lived out a wonderful life. She spent much of her free time with her neighbors, friends and her sister, Wanda. Helen and Wanda were close growing up and continued to be close until Wanda’s passing in 2014.
Helen was an employee of the Grapevine Colleyville School District until her retirement in 2009. She was an active member of the DFW Church of Christ.
Helen’s unconditional love spread wide. Her smile and laugh were contagious. She loved the Lord and her church family! She would write a card or letter (the old-fashioned way) when she was thinking of you, which was quite often. That was passed down to her by her mother, Kate. She was always excited to talk about her grandkids and just boasted about becoming a great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie E “Pete” and Kate Caraway of Lake Bridgeport; her sister Jean O’Dell of Bridgeport; her brother, Earl Caraway of Bridgeport; her sister Wanda Snow of Grapevine; and son Todd Dainack of Grapevine.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Scott Dainack of Roanoke; her grandchildren, Derrick, Dustin and Drew; her brother, John Caraway of Bowie; her best friends Ada Cole of Hurleyville, New York and Kathy Sullivan of Fort Worth; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
