Jimmy G. Johnson

Decatur ~ Jimmy Glen Johnson, 78, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

Memorial Service is 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Jimmy was born April 25, 1943 to Glen and Mary Frances (Bellows) Johnson in Ft. Worth, Texas. He was united in marriage September 28, 1963 to Catherine L. Bennett in Arlington, Texas. Jimmy was a retired software engineer for AT&T and Nortel. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many who will dearly miss him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, Susan Glenna Johnson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Catherine Johnson of Decatur; his son, Jimmy G. Johnson Jr. and wife Lesley of Decatur; his daughter, Tracy V. Hunter and husband Jermey of Decatur; 8 grandchildren, Derick Testa and wife Brandy, Brittany A. Johnson, Jimmy G. Johnson III, James M. Hunter, Becky Johanna Hunter, Caty Elizabeth Hunter, Nicholas Johnson, and Alexandria Johnson; his great-grandson, Sebastian Wiley Testa; his brother, Dick Johnson and wife Jean Ann; extended family members and a host of friends.
