Gallup, New Mexico ~ Kenneth Vernon (Chunky) Hodge, 56, previously of Bridgeport, went to be with our Lord Thursday, May 5, 2011 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Kenneth was born May 11, 1957 to Charles and Donna Hodge in Portales, New Mexico. He graduated from LD Bell High School in Hurst, Texas in 1972. Kenneth served his country for three years in the U S Army. After the Army, he worked in the oil field in many different places, including New Mexico, Colorado and Alaska. Kenneth loved riding motorcycles, going camping with his family and was a long time Dallas Cowboy fan.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Keith Hodge.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Maria Conn of Gallup, New Mexico; his son, Eric Hodge and wife Heather; his daughters, Angela Mortin and husband Greg of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Sara Hitz and husband Nate of Craig, Colorado, Shannon Mayes and husband Josh Martinez of Craig, Colorado, and Crystal Counts and husband James of Durango, Colorado; his sisters, Charlsa Jenkins and husband Bubba of Odessa, Rebecca Vasquez and husband David of Bridgeport, and Terri Lindsey of Decatur; 12 grandchildren, Isadora, Summer, Nathan (Raven), Austin, Dalton, Gabriella, Brayden, Jada, Brady, Kaily, Abigail, and Macy; 3 nephews and 2 nieces; 7 great nephews and nieces; and a host of friends.
A memorial service was held Saturday May 14, 2011 in Gallup, New Mexico.
