Peggy Sue (Provence) Fowler

Bellevue~ Peggy Sue Fowler, 84, of Bellevue went to be with our Lord on Saturday December 19, 2020 in Wichita Falls.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Peggy was born on January 6, 1936 to Charlie and Oleta Faye (Morehead) Provence in Bridgeport, Texas. She spent a decade as a real estate agent selling properties in Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Following that she worked 12 years, as a county tax assessor’s deputy in Arkansas. When Peggy moved to Texas, she worked for a decade at JC Penney Life Insurance Company in Plano, Texas. She was a talented singer as a soloist and in choral groups. Peggy loved to sew and was a master seamstress, making beautiful clothing for her family, including wedding and bridesmaids dresses. "Her life was a living testimony to the grace and goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ."

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son who lived 14 days, Darrell Dean Fowler; her grandchildren, Sophia Josephine and Mary Fowler; her sister, Bonnie Thomason.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Farrell Kent Fowler and wife Karen of Carrollton, Russell Bradley Fowler and wife Linda of Little Elm, and Gerald David Fowler and wife Toni of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her daughter, Lana Leigh Fowler Belcher and husband Larry of Vashti; twenty grandchildren, Justin, Jason, Natasha, Benjamin, Katherine, Jonathan, Kaylea, Joshua, Naloni, Samuel, Daniel, Caleb, Christian, Isaac, Savayvah, Judah, Mercy, Jacob, Matthew, and Jonah; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.
