Decatur ~ Aaron Elizabeth Ward, 78, a retired hot line tech, went to be with our Lord Thursday, November 19, 2015 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Central Baptist Church in Chico with burial at Lone Star Cemetery in Chico. Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Bro. Fred Ferren will officiate. Pallbearers include Tim Reeves, David Canada, Paul Arrington, Paul Arrington, Jr., Jim McDonald, Eddie Biles, Phil Reicheneker, and Matt Reicheneker.
Aaron was born on May 17, 1937 to John and Mamie (Bacon) Croy in Lewisville, Texas. She married Daniel “Buddy” Ward on October 29, 1954 in Lewisville, Texas. Aaron was a member of Central Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, John C. Ward; her brothers, Bill Croy and Jimmy Vest; her granddaughter, Brandy Ward; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Ward.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Buddy Ward of Decatur; her sons, Eddie Ward and wife Christi of Alvord, Danny Ward of Decatur, and Kevin Ward and wife Faith of Decatur; 7 grandchildren, Amanda, Stephanie, Jamie, Kristy, Rachel, Kenneth, and Heather; 8 great grandchildren; her sister, Patsy Phillips of Decatur; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
