Decatur~ Ada Marie Rebstock Cook, 80, went to be with our Lord on Friday October 16, 2020 in Denton.
Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Dr. Craig Erb will officiate.
Pallbearers are to include Alex Lewnard, Sarah Lewnard, Patrick Hubbard, Jason Hubbard, Larry "Trey" Lewnard, Graham Gow, Cayla Rebstock, and Carlee Rebstock.
Ada was born on September 25, 1940 to Albert Thomas and Marie V. (Littleton) Messenger in Baltimore, Maryland. She was united in marriage to Danny Cook on December 6, 2006 in Decatur, Texas. She was co-owner of McDonald’s in Decatur. Ada was an avid flower gardener who loved working out in the yard, and also loved to crochet. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Ronald Rebstock, Jr. and her brother Albert Messenger.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband Danny Cook of Decatur; her daughters, Wanda Lewnard and husband Larry, II of Colorado and Dawn Caldwell and husband Charles of Sanger; her grandchildren, Larry III, Alex, Katherine, Sarah, Jason, Laura, Patrick, Katie, Cayla and Carlee; her great-grandchildren Emma, and Christian; her sister, Mary McCauley of West Virginia; her brothers, Bill Messenger of Krum, Leroy Messenger of Fort River, New Jersey, and Joe Messenger of Pasadena, Maryland; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
