Decatur ~ Addie Ruth Cain, 94, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Friday, February 19, 2016 in Decatur.
Funeral is 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2016 at Coker- Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery in Gainesville, Texas. Family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Pastor Chris Brown and Rev. Phillip Weitner will officiate. Pallbearers include Jay Bowers, Bryan Wolf, Michael Cain, Justin Beamis, Stephen Wolf, Matthew Cain, Nathan Bowers, Jeffry Wolf, and Karl Bowers.
Addie was born on May 4, 1921 to William and Zena (Warner) Martin in Saint Jo, Texas. She was united in marriage to Rufus Pershing Cain on May 5, 1939 in Ardmore, Oklahoma until his passing. Addie was a member of American Gold Star Mothers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.P. Cain; her son, Jimmy Ray Cain; her grandsons, Robert Wolf, and Dwaine David Cain; her great granddaughter, Marti Wolf.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Patti Bowers of Decatur, Carolyn Wolf and husband James of Decatur, Phyllis Bobo and husband Paul of Whitehouse, Texas, Paula Beamis and husband Scott of Richardson, Texas, and Margaret Cain of Carrollton, Texas; her son, Kenny Cain and wife Mary of Krum, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; her brother, Bill Martin of Gainesville; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
