Adenia Spencer, aged 75 of Decatur, passed away into the arms of the Lord on February 2, 2020.
Graveside is 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2020 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur.
Gerre Joiner will officiate.
Adenia was born April 12, 1944 to Earl Clem and Florene (Hartsell) Spencer in Decatur, Texas. She was the eldest daughter to Earl and Florene Spencer and was a graduate of Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX., with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Adenia had a genuine love of making children’s lives better as she served as an occupational therapist at Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, TX, for over 20 years. Following her time there, she served as a traveling therapist with many districts in the north Texas area and cherished her students. Adenia was a staunch advocate of her kids and her love of children was a driving force in her life.
Ms. Spencer was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Florene Spencer of Decatur.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are, her sisters, and brother-in-laws Judy and Eddie Sampler of Decatur and Rebbeca and George Black of Weatherford, Tx., her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
