Agnes Laverne (Mitchell) Rotton

Boyd ~ Agnes Laverne Rotton, 85, a retired child caregiver, went to be with our Lord Sunday, July 2, 2017 in Boyd.
Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Boyd Cemetery in Boyd.
Pastor Melanie Gonzales will officiate. Pallbearers are Barry Brown, Kent Spencer, Adrian Proudfoot, and Jack Proudfoot. Honorary pallbearers are the Boyd Fire Department.
Laverne was born on February 22, 1932 to Wallace E and Mary Jewell (Graves) Mitchell in Kingsland, Arkansas. She was united in marriage to Lewis Edward Rotton on April 24, 1957 in Boyd. Laverne was known as RoRo to the many children that she cared for through the years. She was a member of the Hilltop Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 40 years, Lewis Rotton; her sisters, Mary Kathleen Fergason , Gwendolyn Douglass, Polly Jeanette Mitchell, and Wanda Newton; her brothers, Arnold Edward Mitchell and Ronald Maxwell Mitchell.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sisters, Doris Lisemby of Florida and Helen Goggans of Arkansas; her brother, James W. Mitchell of Victoria, Texas; her friends, Amy Proudfoot and husband Adrian of Boyd, Sandy Brown and husband Richard of Boyd, and Margie Baker of Boyd; her caregivers, Elizabeth Clark, Melanie Gonzales, Pam Urquidez, Sondra Wacasey, and Mary Young; along with extended family and a host of friends.
