BRIDGEPORT -- Agnes Walker, 96, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009 at Trinity Care Center in Bridgeport, where she had resided for the past two years.
The life of Agnes Nachtigall Walker will be remembered during a memorial service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church in Bridgeport.
Mrs. walker was born on September 3, 1912, in Alexandria, Nebraska, the daughter of Henry J. and Augusta (Bartels) Nachtigall. She and Thomas Franklin Walker were married on January 17, 1930, in Kansas. The marriage produced one son, Richard Walker, who was a well known Bridgeport resident until his recent death.
Mrs. Walker worked as an accountant for RaeAnn Department Store in Austin for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas in 1990 in Austin. Following his death, Mrs. Walker moved to Bridgeport. She was also preceded in death by their son, Richard Walker of Bridgeport who died on July 26, 2009 in Decatur.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include: her daughter-in-law, Kemper Walker of Bridgeport; granddaughters, Jennifer Walker of Bridgeport, Laura Craft and husband Larry of Houston; grandsons, David Walker and wife Christi of Bridgeport, Kevin Green and wife Cynthia of Dallas; great grandchildren, Forrest Walker of Bridgeport, Jordan and Taylor Craft of Houston, Tyler Arozamena and Baby '09 of Bridgeport, and Ben, Jenna and Caroline Green of Dallas.
