Newark ~ Albert Underwood, 79, owner of Newark Feed Store, went to be with our Lord Monday, July 4, 2016 in Justin.
Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Rev. Gary Sessions will officiate.
Albert was born May 7, 1937 to Elvie and Ruth (Goldsmith) Underwood in Logan, New Mexico. He was united in marriage to Ruby Anderson on October 1, 1955 in Weatherford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvie and Ruth Underwood; his wife, Ruby Underwood; his sons, Joe Underwood and Albert Underwood II; his sister Elvie Bryant; and his brother Charlie Underwood.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Gary Underwood and wife Sherry of Newark; his daughter, Naomi Landry and husband David of Suwanee, Georgia; his grandchildren, Stacey Chalmers and husband Craig, Gary "BB" Underwood II, Christopher Landry and wife Melanie, Michael Albert Landry; his great granddaughter, Emma Rose Underwood; his sisters, Carolyn Bartee and Ellen Fennell; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
