El servicio funerario es a las 11:00 a.m. el lunes en la iglesia católica Assumption of our Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church en Decatur con entierro en el Cementerio Oaklawn. La visita será el domingo de las 6-8 p.m. en Hawkins funeral Home en Decatur.
Alberto nació el 29 de marzo de 1957 a sus padres Francisco y Juana (Rodríguez) Chávez en Hermita Jerez México. Se unió en matrimonio el 15 de diciembre de 1979 con Armandina Romo en Decatur, Texas. Alberto era un soldador certificado por 36 años con Imperial Fabrication.
El fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres, su hermano, Pedro Chávez, Sr. y su hermana, María Juana Fernández.
Las que se quedan atrás para atesorar su memoria son su esposa Armandina, su hijo Rolando de Decatur, Albert Chávez, Jr. de Little Elm, su hija Violeta Chávez de Little Elm; su hermana, Gabriela, sus hermanos Marcelino, Juan, y Víctor y sus numerosos familiares y amigos extendidos.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Assumption of our Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins funeral Home in Decatur, Rosary at 7 pm.
Alberto was born March 29, 1957 to Francisco and Juana (Rodriguez) Chavez in Hermita Jerez Mexico. He was united in marriage December 15, 1979 to Armandina Romo in Decatur, Texas. Alberto was a certified welder for 36 years with Imperial Fabrication.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Pedro Chavez, Sr. and a sister, Maria Juana Fernandez.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Armandina of Decatur; 2 sons, Alberto Chavez, Jr. of Little Elm, and Rolando Chavez of Decatur; his daughter, Violeta Chavez of Little Elm; his brothers, Marcelino, Juan, and Victor Chavez; his sister, Gabriela Hernandez; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
