Decatur: Alice Lorene Garrett, 90, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord, Saturday, November 12, 2011 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 1 p.m. Tuesday at Oaklawn Cemetery with Reverend Ken May officiating. Family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, November 14th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Alice was born April 1, 1921 in Oklahoma to James Franklin and Jetty Keys Wood. She married Paul Wayne Garrett on August 13, 1938 in Bridgeport, Texas and was married 73 years at this death on October 4, 2011. Alice was a member of the First Baptist Church of Decatur.
Left behind to cherish her memory are son, James Ray Garrett and wife Karen of Decatur; daughter, Paulette McCormick and husband John of Decatur; sister, LaVerne Manire of Weatherford; brother, James Wood and wife Shirley of Decatur; three grandchildren, Brad McCormick, Todd McCormick and wife Angie, and Tiffany Garrett; and four great grandchildren, Colton, Brandon, Jack and Allie McCormick.
