Alice McKinnon, 92, of Rhome went to be with our Lord, Monday, June 28, 2010 in Decatur.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 2, at Boyd Church of Christ with Eddie Montgomery to officiate. Burial will be in Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Alice was born November 13, 1917 in Rhome, Texas to Martin Lee and Mable Holt Brown. She married Loyd McKinnon on June 4, 1938 in Newark, Texas. She has been a member of the Boyd Church of Christ for 15 years.
Left behind to cherish her memory is a son, Don McKinnon and wife Delores of Rhome; granddaughter, Cheryl Troxell and husband Tim of Rhome; 3 great grandaughters, Brittany Cole and husband Josh, Taylor Troxell, and Macie Troxell; 1 great-great grandaughter, Kyra Cole; 2 sisters, Lucille Norton and Gladys Pitts; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Loyd McKinnon, and her parents.
