BRIDGEPORT -- Allene Jennings, 81, a retired cook, died Sunday, June 10, 2007 in Bridgeport. Graveside service: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2007 at East Bridgeport Cemetery with Pastor James Thompson officiating. Visitation: 11 a.m. Thursday before services. Pallbearers: Genaro Mireles, Valentin Mireles, Jose Mireles, Joshua Mireles, Cole Davis, Oscar Rangel Fannie was born Feb. 21, 1926 in Haskell County to Charlie and Ollie McDaniel Steele. She was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, R.C. Jennings; daughter, Doris Marie Smith; son, Robert Joe Payne; sisters, Julia Hargrove, Lena Mae Cole, Virginia Brinegar; brother, Charles Steele and two grandsons. Survivors: Daughters, Mary Mireles and husband Genaro of Bowie; Louise Warren and husband Freddie Springtown and Betty Jones of Bridgeport; son, Lloyd Payne and wife Vina of Borger.
