Ambrose B. Plucker

Funeral is 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Graveside service is 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Oakhill Cemetery in Neenah, Wisconsin. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Westgor Funeral Home in Neenah.

Rev. Mark Gafaller will officiate at Hawkins Funeral Home and Rev. Richard Frost will officiate in Wisconsin.

Ambrose was born on September 21, 1921 to Richard and Matilda (Sell) Plucker in Neenah, Wisconsin. He served his country as a lieutenant in the Army Air Force as a pilot in World War II. Ambrose was united in marriage to Eunice Hopkins on April 1, 1944 in Sakeston, Missouri and they just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Ambrose was a salesman for Kimberly Clark and retired after 30 years. He was a member of the Wisconsin Synod Lutheran Church at Grace in Neenah and Immanuel Lutheran Church in North Richland Hills, Texas. Ambrose enjoyed bowling and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Dwight, Dalton, and Richard Plucker.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 69 years, Eunice Plucker of Bridgeport; his son, Wayne Plucker and wife Rexene of San Antonio; his daughter, Barbara Green and husband Leroy of Bridgeport; 3 grandchildren, Terry, Dale, and Laura; 6 great grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
