Bridgeport ~ Amos “Lugnut” Goines, 77, a retired truck driver, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016 at West Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Rev. Gary Sessions will officiate.
Amos was born on June 12, 1939 to Stirl and Claudia (Kilgore) Goines in Panama, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Patricia Sanders on January 22, 1972 in Bridgeport. Amos served his country in the U.S. Army. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Amos was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, Debbie.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years, Patricia Goines of Bridgeport; his daughters, Annette, Kathy, Dorothy, Cynthia, Dawn, Theresa, Brenda, and Patty Murr and husband Timothy of Bridgeport; his sons, Amos Moore, Sherman Goines and wife Whitni, William Goines and wife Rebekah of Bridgeport; 44 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grnadchildren; 3 sisters; 3 brothers; other family members and a host of friends.
