Dallas~Amy D. Chaney, 77 of Dallas went to be with our Lord on Monday, November 30. 2020 in Dallas.
Graveside Memorial will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2020 at Cottondale Cemetery in Paradise. Military Honors provided by the Wise County Veteran's Group.
Amy D. Chaney MS, BSN,RN was born on April 28, 1943 to John Claborn and Mattie (Bridges) Chaney in Decatur, Texas. Amy was a nurse whose career spanned well over 24 years with the Methodist Hospital of Dallas and the Dallas Veterans Hospital. She was a veteran and proudly served our country in the United States Navy Nurse Corps. She graduated from Paradise High School in the Class of 1961. Following graduation from high school Amy went on to Methodist Hospital of Dallas School of Nursing and received her R.N. Degree. She served as LTJG in the United States Navy Nurse Corps. In 1974 she received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from Texas Women's University. In 1982 Amy went on to receive her Masters Degree from Amber University in Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claborn and Mattie Chaney; and her sister, Betty Cryan.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her brother, Kenneth Chaney of Denton, Texas; and numerous family members and a host of friends.
