Andrew Clifford Ericson

Bowie~ Andrew Clifford Ericson, 31, a sales manager, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, February 19, 2020 in Clay County.

Funeral is 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery.  Family will receive friends one hour before service. Military Honors provided by the Wise County Veteran's Group.

Reverend Larry McMullen will officiate.  Pallbearers include Gene McCormick, Marty McCormick, Jeremy Cherwitz, Russell King, Rick Johnson, and Stan Standridge.

Andrew was born on August 27, 1988 to Stephen and Tammi (McCormick) Ericson in Fort Worth, Texas.  He was united in marriage to Laura Steiss on January 6, 2018 in Plano, Texas.  Andrew graduated from Northwest High School in Justin, Texas.  He was a sales manager for Batteries Plus Bulbs.  Andrew proudly served his country in the United States Marines.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cliff and Jane Ericson, Calvin Potts, and Rod McCormick; his uncle, Ward Ericson; and his aunt, Barbara Ericson.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 2 years, Laura Ericson of Bowie; his son, Ace Ericson; his daughter, Emery Ericson; his parents, Steve and Tammi Ericson of Paradise; his grandmother, Pat Potts of Arlington; 3 sisters, Andrea Smith and husband Heath of Paradise, Shelly Soter and husband John of Tennessee, and Laurie Isaacs and husband Zeke of Ohio; his brother, Jeff Ericson of Ohio; his father and mother-in-law, Don and Donna Steiss of Richardson; 2 brothers-in-law, Matthew Steiss of Austin, and Kurt Steiss of Ohio; best friends, Princess and Optimus; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
