Bridgeport~ Angie Ilene Allen, 96, of Bridgeport, Texas transitioned from this phase of eternity on July 14, 2020 in Decatur.

Graveside Service is 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2020 at Willow Point Cemetery in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to service. Family will officiate.

Angie was born May 22, 1924 to Arthur Logan and Ova Bertha Gulley Thompson in Wise County. Angie was united in marriage to Audie Cecil Allen on February 15, 1942. They were married for 62 years until his passing on October 4, 2004. She was a homemaker. Angie was a member of Gibtown Baptist Church and was loved very much by her family and friends alike who will dearly miss her sweet spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Audie Cecil Allen; her daughter, Sharon K. Taylor; a granddaughter, Angela Diane (Alcorn) Stevens; a grandson, Chad W. May; her sisters, Virgie Kee, and Dovie Allen; and her brothers, Durward A. Thompson, and Rayford P. Thompson.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Ila Angeline Alcorn and husband Don of Bridgeport and Karon Gay May and husband Jim of Conway, Arkansas; 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; numerous extended family members and a host of friends from over the years.
