Ann (Gragg) Thornton

Bridgeport ~ Ann “Granny Ann” Gragg Thornton, 87, a retired nurse’s aide, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in Bridgeport.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March, 11, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pastor Kevin Casey will officiate.
Ann was born on January 24, 1930 to Lawrence and Lucille (Older) Kammier in South Bend, Indiana. She was united in marriage to Isom Thornton on September 9, 2002 in Decatur. Ann was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur. She was a member of the American Red Cross Abroad.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Isom Thornton; and her grandson, Timothy Gragg.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Ralph Wilson and wife Sue of Arizona; her daughter, Brenda Harris of Poolville; her son, Michael Gragg of Fort Worth; her son, Danny Gragg of Decatur; her grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
