A memorial service will be held at Synope Plantation at a later date.
Anna was born March 7, 1965, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was the daughter of the late John III and Jennie (Reynolds) Crump. She married Mark Gregory on September 23, 1989 in Columbia, Louisiana.
Anna was a native of Caldwell Parish and an Animal Husbandry graduate of Louisiana Tech. Before her retirement she was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a dog handler/inspector at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport.
Anna was well known for her gentleness with animals and her skilled training of horses without bit or saddle. Her love of animals was surpassed only by her love of her family. She was the always-hoped-for joyful and generous one who reached out to each family member; she was a constance presence, laughing--and making each of us laugh--when we most needed to. Anna was particularly proud of her son's athletic accomplishments and regaled her Louisiana relatives with James and Christopher's most recent achievements.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Mark Gregory of Rhome; her 2 sons, James and Christopher Gregory of Rhome; her brother, John W. Crump IV of College Station; her 2 nephews, John W. Crump V and Forrest Crump; her aunt, Jorenda Stone of Monroe, Louisiana; other family members and a host of friends.
