Arlington: Anna Maude Odom, 86, formerly of Decatur, went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, September 29, 2010 in Arlington.
Funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday, October 2nd at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Johnny Irish officiating. Interment: Sanger Cemetery, Sanger, Texas. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include, Scott Odom, Garrett Odom, Timothy McHam, Charles McHam, Thomas Gross and Ronnie May.
Anna was born December 31, 1924 in Robinson, Texas to Robert Boothe and Miranda Maude Cox Gross. She married John Taylor Odom on October 27, 1956 in Dallas, Texas. Anna retired from Dr. Pepper as an accounting clerk after 36 years of service. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Decatur.
Left behind to cherish her memory are two nephews; numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and a large extended family and a host of friends.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brother, Pressley Gross, and sister, Ila Mae Smith.
Family requests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church, 104 South Miller, Decatur, Texas or Decatur Lion's Club, Decatur, Texas.
