Decatur: Anna Clarice Placek, 92, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 16th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Anna was born May 21, 1917 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to George and Anna Dekker Bos. She married William Frank Placek on October 20, 1955 in Clifton, New Jersey, and was married 36 years upon his death in July, 1991.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her son, Jack Placek and wife, Vonya of Decatur; three grandchildren, Shellie Hale and husband, Bobby, Justin Placek and wife, Brittany and Bryce Placek; two great grandchildren, Alexa and Jaxtin Placek.
