CHICO -- Annie Lee Brooks, 97, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, May 17, 2008 in Chico.
Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Chico. Burial: Chico Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Rev. Larry Potts will officiate, assisted by Melvin Castleberry. Pallbearers will be David Brooks, Danny Price, George Price, J.D. Berryman, Billy Brooks, and Ethan Jones.
Annie Lee was born on September 10, 1910 in Hopkins County, Texas to George and Annie (McLaughlin) Davidson. She was a homemaker. She married Homer Brooks on July 25, 1929 in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Methel Price; 3 grandchildren, Melody, Jennie and david; 6 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Left behind to cherish her memories are: her daughters, Lavenia Berryman of Chico and Patty Campbell and husband Duane of Fritch; sons, David Brooks and wife Carolyn of Bridgeport, Everett Brooks and wife Revena of Chico, and Darwin Brooks and wife Betty of Lake Worth 12 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 23 great great grandchildren.
