Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home. Burial: East Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Rev. Mike Wiltcher will officiate. Pallbearers: William Currin, Doug Currin, Curt Morrow, Robert Schneider, Chance Cansler, and Jason Holley.
Annie was born on January 22, 1913, the daughter of Haggie Harrison and Jennie Irene (Barrow) Roberts in Lancaster, Texas. She married William David Sammons on July 6, 1983 in Bridgeport. Annie was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Bridgeport.
Annie was preceded in death by her first husband, Findle Fuller "Turner" Hicks on January of 1972; her second husband, Dave Sammons; two daughters, Nancy Morrow and Frances Currin; her grandson, David Schneider; 5 sisters; and 2 brothers.
Left behind to cherish her memory is: her daughters, Lenora Cansler of Bridgeport, Evelyn Ryan of Lineville, Alabama, Melinda Roberts and her husband Calvin of Granbury; 10 grandchildren: Tommy, Millie, Doug, Marsha, Kim, Rebecca, Curt, Jill, Kaye, and Robert; 20 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; brother, Paul Roberts of Fort Worth; sister, Mary Westbrook of Fort Worth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
