Anthony "Tony" Earl Hoots

Paradise ~ Anthony “Tony” Earl Hoots, 66, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, May 14, 2024 in Denton.

Funeral Service is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18th, at Bible Baptist Church in Bridgeport with burial at Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport.

Anthony was born on June 23, 1957 to Alton Eugene and Beverly Jo (Wilson) Hoots in Fort Worth. He was united in marriage to Peggy Lester on August 27, 1977 at Carswell Air Force Base. Anthony worked for TXDOT for 30 plus years. He was a beloved husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a friend to many that will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alton Eugene Hoots; his brother, Darrel Hoots; and his grandparents.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 46 years, Peggy Hoots of Paradise; his sons, Michael Hoots and wife Elizabeth of Cleburne and Adam Hoots and wife Crysti of Mansfield; his mother, Beverly Jo Hoots; his grandchildren, Ashlynn, Hunter, Ava, Hudson, Allie Jo Hoots, Alex and Anna Lambert; his brothers, Tommy, Dewayne, and James Hoots; his sister, Cindy Hoots; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
