Decatur ~ Antonia Ortiz, 83, went to be with our Lord Monday, October 26, 2020 in Decatur.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. with rosary at 7 p.m. at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Father Reehan is officiating. Pallbearers include Jose Ortiz, Juanito Martinez, José Ángel Martinez, and Joaquín Ceh.

Antonia was born on June 13, 1937 to Emilio and Antonia (Vazquez) Parada in Nombre de Dios, Durango, México. She was united in marriage to Manuel Ortiz in Nombre de Dios, Durango, Mexico. She was a homemaker and was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Jose M. Ortiz of Decatur; her daughter, Monica Martinez of Decatur; her grandchildren, Maria, Juanito, Jose Angel and Victoria; 2 great-grandchildren, Jazleen, and Eliana; extended family, and a host of friends.
