Slidell ~ Antonio Martinez, 48, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in Decatur.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Decatur with burial at Slidell Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Antonio was born on December 13, 1972 to Angel and Regina (Perea) Martinez in La Mora, Tarandacuao, Guanajuato, Mexico. He was united in marriage to Rosa Maria Becerra on July 13, 2002 in Denton, Texas. Antonio was catholic and worked in agriculture production.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Rosa of Decatur; his daughters, Maria Fernanda and Claudia Ortiz; his son, Francisco; his son-in-law, Efrain Huerta; his greatest joy, his grandson, Vicente; his sisters, Blanca, Audelia, Antonia, Marta, Juana, and Irma; his brothers, Juan, Joaquin, Angel, Carmelo, and Claudio; numerous sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews.
