Arlene (Dankel) Russell Reedy

Decatur ~ Arlene Russell Reedy, 91, passed away on January 27, 2023.

Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Decatur with burial at Murray Cemetery near Graham, Texas. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Bishop Bigley will officiate.

Arlene was born on January 12, 1932 to Fred and Della (Sappenfield) Dankel in Tioga, Kansas.  Arlene attended Baptist College and went on to be a banking teller. She was united in marriage March 20, 2022 to Leon Reedy in Decatur, Texas. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Lynda Streng.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband Leon Reedy of Decatur; her son, Mike Russell and wife Tammie of Boyd; grandchildren, Justin Russell and wife Adrienne of Boyd, Brandie Smith of Boyd, Emily and Kyle Streng; great-grandchildren, Rosalie, Jensen and Rilynn; extended family and many friends.
