Armetta (Lumsden) Pitts

Chickasha, Oklahoma ~ Armetta  Pitts, 89, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, October 7, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Graveside service is 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Pleasant Grove #3 Cemetery in Alvord. No set visitation.

Armetta was born August 23, 1931 to Truis and Velma (Parker) Lumsden in Chico, Texas. She graduated Chico High School. She worked for Owl Photo as a developer and clerk. Armetta was united in marriage January 1, 1949 to J.D. Pitts in Sherman, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Pitts; and parents, Truis and Velma Lumsden.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Diane Resler and husband Roy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her son, Gary Pitts and wife Donna of Elk City, Oklahoma; her 2 grandchildren, Jeff Resler of Bentonville, Arkansas and Julie McCurry of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 3 great-grandchildren, Abby Resler, Grant Resler, and Mia McCurry; her brother, T.F. “Lum” Lumsden of Sulphur Springs; her 4 sisters, Cookie Neighbors and Pat Endres of Alvord, Janell King of Keller, and Barbara Bailey of Sulphur Springs; extended family and a host of friends.
