Funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday, at the First Baptist Church of Alvord with Brother Bill Cleveland officiating. Interment will follow service at the Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 5th at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Arvil was born May 12, 1949 in Bowie, Texas to Arvil Edgar and Francis Evelyn (Grissom) Sisk. He married Sallie Nellcine Brown on December 1, 1982 in Alvord. Arvil worked on the assembly line at the General Motors in Arlington and retired after 30 years of service. Arvil was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Alvord.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Nellie Sisk of Alvord, son, Michael Foster of Alvord; daughter, Lorie Kelsey and husband, Scott of Alvord; sisters, Wilma Hunt of Arlington and Lois Boner of Bowie; four grandchildren, D. J. McCuller, Taylor Foster, Trenton Kelsey, Cort Kelsey all of Alvord, two great grandchildren, Hayden and Riley McCuller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arvil is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, David Sisk died December 1, 2008 and Milton Sisk died January 28, 2009.
