Paradise ~ Aubrey “Carl” Miller, 73, went to be with our Lord Saturday, June 29, 2019, in Paradise.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur with burial in Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Bishop Fred Villa and Pastor Ron Crocker will officiate. Pallbearers include Marcus Walton, Burl Cash, Rodney Rhine, Jason Bradley, Terry Cobb, Lee Nelson, Bo Norris, and Curtis Smith.
Carl was born on January 14, 1946, to Cecil Aubrey and Bertha Ann (Shrum) Miller in Weatherford, Texas. He was united in marriage to Joyce Mae Nelson on January 31, 1967 in Fort Worth. Carl retired from Peterbilt Motor Company as a material handler. He was a member of Harvest Time Church in Bridgeport. Carl loved farming, watching old western movies and most of all spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Aubrey Miller.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Joyce Miller of Paradise; his 2 daughters, Lisa Walton of Paradise, and Laurie Washburn and husband Steve of Decatur; his son, Mike Miller and wife Misty of Paradise; his daughter, Kamryn Walton-Miller of Paradise; his son, Redik Walton-Miller of Paradise; his 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild on the way; his mother, Bertha Ann Moore; his brother, Fredrick Allan Miller; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
