Austin Jacob Higgins

Decatur ~ Austin Jacob Higgins, 21, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, September 1, 2020.

Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial in Sweetwater Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Freida Higgins will officiate. Pallbearers include Aspen Higgins, Mason Hix, Jordan White, Matt Carter, Jhett Parker, Noah Elliott,  Chance Foster, Aaron Anguish, Curt Keener, and Mario Reyes. Honorary Pallbearer is Mekayla Rivera.

Austin was born May 4, 1999 to Jeremy and Elizabeth (Palmer) Higgins in Decatur, Texas. He graduated Decatur High School and was employed at Foster’s Western Wear. Austin was a creative and kind hearted Artist.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Janet Palmer.

Those left to cherish his memory are his fiancé, Alyssa Faulkner of Decatur; his mother, Elizabeth Palmer Burton of Decatur; his father, Jeremy Higgins and fiancé Erica Sylvester of Flower Mound; his brother, Aspen Higgins of Decatur; his grandparents, Lisa Foster Bowes of Denton, Mike Higgins and wife Ida of Decatur; great grandparents, Anna Lassiter and Raymond Higgins of Ft. Worth; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
