Decatur: Avice Marie Lightsey, 98, a retired LVN, went to be with our Lord, Monday, May 30, 2011 in Decatur, Texas.

Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, June 2nd at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport with Charles Kilgore and Dr. David Burrows officiating. Interment is 11 a.m. Friday, June 3rd in Littlefield Memorial Cemetery in Littlefield, Texas.

Pallbearers include Joshua Anderson, Micah Hladky, Benjamin Hladky, James Adams, Michael Morris and Bill Morris.

Avice was born September 19, 1912 in Hardeman County, Texas to Eugene and Donnie (Webb) Teague. She married W. C. Lightsey in 1933 and was married 43 years at his death on December 24, 1976. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Wynelle Morris.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her son; Billy Van Lightsey and wife, Pat of Keller; two granddaughters, Jovanne Kiser and husband, Cecil of Paradise and Brenda Hladky and husband, Mark of Flower Mound; two grandsons, Mike Morris of Orlando, Florida and Bill Morris and wife, Maria of Navarre, Florida; seven great grandsons, Joshua Anderson of Keller, Dalton, Micah and Benjamin Hladky of Flower Mound, Ian and David Morris of Navarre, Florida; two great grandaughters, Samantha Anderson of Denton, Chelsea Adams and husband, James of Fort Worth; and great great granddaughter, Lily Ann Adams of Fort Worth.

Family requests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1204 12th Street, Bridgeport, Texas 76426.
