Barbara was born August 30, 1942 in Anticoh, California to James Albert and Dora Helen (Morse) Thompson. She married John David Zumar on April 2, 1961 in Fort Hood, Texas. Barbara worked as a service tech for a telephone company.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 50 years; daughter, Kim Zumar of Decatur; sons, Mike Zumar and wife Robyn of Weatherford and David Zumar and wife Ellen of Fort Worth; daughter, Kelli Pyland and Andrew Rottner of Decatur; grandchildren, Andrea, Austin, Sydney, Tyler and Mallory; great granddaughter, Ella; step-brother, Eric Mimms; and father, Jim Thompson and wife Jan of Alvord.
