Bennie Wayne "Ben" Kelley

Newark ~ Bennie Wayne “Ben” Kelley, 79, born on January 8, 1943 passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on January 5, 2023.

Ben was a veteran who served our country with pride in the United States Army. He was also an Air Traffic Controller for many years until his retirement, and was also known to play a round or two of golf. Ben was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

Ben was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Kelley; parents, Ollie and Louise Kelley; brother, Joe Kelley and wife Joyce; sister-in-law, Mary Kelley; and niece, Rhonda Jackson.

Ben is survived by his son, Benjamin Kelley; grandchildren, Dallas, Armida, and Emily Kelley; brothers, Kenneth Kelley and wife Sharon, Larry Kelley and wife Claudia, and Robert Kelley; little sister, Paula Kelley; numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service is 11 AM Saturday, January 211, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
