BEDFORD -- Bennie T. Clark, 80, a retired salesman for O.B. Macaroni, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in Bedford.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2013 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Boyd with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. Friday prior to the service.
Rev. Joseph L. Troutman will officiate. Pallbearers include Steve Tackett, Raymond Clark, Donald Wilson, Gary Grubbs, J.D. Chitty, John Chitty, Rick Harris, and Darrell Sittig.
Bennie was born on June 3, 1933 to Tullus E. and Ada Bell (Crosby) Clark in Edinburg, Mississippi. Bennie was united in marriage to Lizzie Annett Smith on June 3, 1955 in White Settlement. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a Dallas Cowboy fan if they were winning. Bennie and Lizzie loved to travel and wanted to make one more trip to Mississippi to see friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Lizzie Smith of Bedford; his daughter Kathy Chitty and husband John of Hurst; his grandchildren, Kristen, Melissa, J.B., Deborah, and Abigail; numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
