Bertha Knowles

Chico ~ Bertha Knowles, 69, went to be with our Lord Saturday, November 18, 2023 in Decatur.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Bertha was born on September 11, 1954 to Roy Raymond and Bertha Louise (Moss) Mayo in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was united in marriage to John Knowles in 1975 in Fort Worth. Bertha was a cashier and house keeper for several years.  She was a beloved wife, aunt, sister, and a friend to many that will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Knowles; 6 brothers; and her sister.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her brother, Terry Mayo; her sister, Betty Caraway; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
