The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen, Arkansas on Thursday,May 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Evel Morris will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2007 in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Decatur.
She was born at Slidell, on September 15, 1905 to Alfred and Ida Hullett Pruett.She was a retired school teacher with 31 years service, and was a member of the De Queen Church of Christ. She enjoyed working in the yard, sewing and gardening.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe L. and Wanda Morris, Tony and Dona Morris both of De Queen, Arkansas, eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 4th at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
