Betty June Anderson

Bridgeport~ Betty June Anderson, 95, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in Decatur.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at The First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport with burial to follow in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Open Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Betty was born on February 24, 1926 in Olathe, Kansas. She was a homemaker and a Secretary and Co-Owner of Anderson Water Wells in Bridgeport which Betty worked alongside her family operating for many years. She was united in marriage to S.L. Anderson on July 25, 1946 in Kansas and together 56 years until his passing on January 11, 2003.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, S.L. Anderson; and her brother, Harold Macy.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Anita Ann Lamoth and husband Ron of New Bedford, Massachusetts; her sons, Edwin Anderson of Bowie, and Phil Anderson of Bridgeport; her 3 grandchildren, Rebecca, Edwin, and Jennifer; her 5 great-grandchildren, River, Ivy, Edwin, Russell, and Myra; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
