BOYD -- Betty Sue Kemp, 67, a homemaker, went to be with our loving Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Friendship Baptist Church. Interment: Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Keeter. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Christian-Hawkins.
Reverend Terry Terry and Reverend Mark Autry to officiate. Pallbearers: Bubba Cornstubble, Chris Wolfe, Richie Keiper, Justin Arnold ,Jimmy Tackett,and Lonnie Murry.
Betty was born July 9, 1942 to Charles Raymond "Doc" and Gracie (Gaston) Vess in Decatur, Texas. She married Billy Kemp September 15, 1956 in Boyd, Texas and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 53 years, Billy Kemp of Boyd, sons, Ricky Kemp and wife, Tammy of Haslet, and Randy Kemp and wife, Kristina of Paradise, daughters, Vickie Ledbetter and husband, Gary of Fort Worth, and Penny Fite of Fort Worth. 6 grandchildren, Taylor, Mercedes, Jason, Amy, Tanner and Paige; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Sonny Vess of Eureka,CA. sisters, Jean Adams of Decatur, Peggy Keiper of Boyd and Darlene Evans of Decatur and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
