DECATUR -- Betty Greathouse Dunning McKinney, 81, a retired real estate agent, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, in Decatur. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Alvord. Burial: Sunset Cemetery.

During her full life, she operated the Roanoke Cafe, sold farm and ranch property through Dunning Real Estate and co-owned the Gourmet Taco Restaurant in Denton. Betty was a lifelong Republican and a former member of the Wise County Board of Realtors. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chelsey Vallon "Check" Dunning, in 1982; and her grandson, Parish Dunning. She married Jim McKinney on May 20, 1989.

Survivors: Husband, Jim McKinney of Decatur; daughters, Darlene Sutton and husband, Don, of Bremerton, Wash., Marian Wagner and husband, Tim, of Justin; son, Vallon Dunning and wife, Ann, of Decatur; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
