Runaway Bay ~ Betty Ann Wilson, 86, a retired nurse, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in Decatur.
Memorial service is 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport.
Pastor Rick Cooper will officiate.
Betty was born on December 19, 1931 to Roswell and Edna (Durham) Colgate in Buffalo, New York. She was united in marriage to Marlin Otis “Red” Wilson on February 18, 1950 in Los Angeles, California. She retired from Cigna Hospital where she was a nurse for 25 years. Prior to her nursing career, Betty worked as a waitress at Bob’s Big Boy Restaurant. She was an avid reader, loved sailing with Red to Catalina Island, enjoyed watching the cardinals in her yard, as well as tending her flower garden. Her greatest joy was her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Lloyd Colgate.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 68 years Marlin “Red” Wilson of Runaway Bay; her son, Marlin Curtis Wilson and wife Leslie of Cedar Park; her daughter, Jerilyn White and husband Randy of Portland, Oregon; her grandchildren, Adrienne Turner and husband Jason of Portland, Oregon, Sarah Wilson and husband Jeff of Marietta, California, Hannah Coffman and husband Chase of Chico, Kohl Wilson of Cedar Park and Kaycee Wilson of Cedar Park; her great grandchildren, Fiori Turner, Ty Turner, Jordyn Wilson, ReeseAnne Wilson, Zachary Wilson, Scarlett Coffman and Kahle Coffman; her sister, Shirley Knori of San Diego, California; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
