ALVORD -- Beulah Brunet "Nettie" Ellis, 83, a retired OSD clerk for Montgomery Wards, died Thursday, April 12, 2007 in Decatur.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Chico Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Tom Merritt.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the American Heart Association are suggested.

Nettie was born on February 27, 1924 in Haskell, Texas to John Philip and Martha Beulah Aaron. She married James Elvin Ellis on January 13, 1942. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Chico. Nettie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, her sister Ina Mae Ellis, and her brother, John Albert Aaron.

Survivors: sons, Cecil Ellis and wife Sue of Cleburne, Texas, James Ellis and wife Janet of Crosby, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Irene Story and Lillie Belle Long; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
