Alvord ~ Bill Eichman, 81, a retired mechanic, went to be with our Lord Friday, November 13, 2015 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Alvord with burial at Alvord Cemetery in Alvord, Texas. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Rev. Bill Cleveland will officiate. Pallbearers include Jackie Martin, Matthew Lane, Sean Kirkpatrick, Joe Eichman, Chase Daniels, and Rooster Martin.
Bill was born on January 22, 1934 to Ellis Vernon and Willa Bell (Haynes) Eichman in Brownsville, Texas. He was united in marriage to Shirley Janice Johnson on September 1, 1979 in Irving. Bill retired after working as a General Electric Aircraft Mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Billie Eichman; his son, Wesley Warren; his daughter, Betty Jean Eichman; his father and mother-in-law, Albert and Tez Johnson; his sister, Patsy Marrs; his granddaughter, Autumn Dawn Martin
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Janice Eichman of Alvord; his children, Debbie Lohman and husband David of Gatesville, Sandy Eichman of Highland Village, Donna Martin and husband Jackie of Irving, David Eichman and wife Susie of Ravenna, Vicki Potts and husband Larry of Brashear, Joe Eichman of Alvord, Lauri Lane and husband Matthew of N. Richland Hills, and Lisa Kirkpatrick and husband Sean of Colleyville; his brother, Allen Eichman and wife Rosanna of Florida; his sister, Judy Wells of Florida; his brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws, Calvin Baker and his wife Jeanette of Alvord, and Al Johnson and his wife Sharon of Early; his grandchildren, Natalie Paramore of Austin, Melodie Paramore of Fort Worth, Laura Williams and husband Justin of Fort Worth, Chase Daniels and wife Michelle of Watauga, Brittany Crockett of Azle, Jenna Eichman of Alvord, Amber Lair of Decatur, Jennifer Coats and husband Brandon of Palmdale, California, Rooster Martin and wife Kandi of Arlington, Barbie Arthur of Robert Lee, David Lohman of Gatesville, Phaedra Lohman of New York, J.R. Stark and wife Katie of Sulfur Springs, Putter Potts and wife Brittany of Brashear, Charlie Potts of Brashear, Roary Eichman of Ravenna, Jody Ann Eichman of Plano, and Deana Eichman of Gainsville; his great grandchildren, Ian, Jaden, and Kylie Daniels, Rylee and Preslee Williams, Averi and Addison Askew, Wyatt Martin, and Trace Potts; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of friends, and a beloved dog, “Buddy”.
